Debts inside the household month

This guide
The debt slice is the sum of minimums plus extra, for every row with a balance. It sits beside housing and the car.
What is included
Only rows with a balance above zero are included. The slice is their minimums plus the extra field. Each of those rows also contributes a payoff line.
Housing is included only after a home price. The car is included only after a car price. Debts do not wait for those.
The car link
If the car loan payment is already one of these rows, turn on the control that says so. The car slice then keeps insurance, registration, maintenance, and fuel, and it drops the loan payment.
Leave that control off when the debt list does not contain the car loan. Otherwise the loan payment vanishes from the month.
Leftover
Leftover is take-home minus the slices. It is hidden until you type take-home. A debt total with no take-home is still a useful number. It is just not yet a remainder.
The sign-up card appears once any of housing, car, or debt has an amount, including a debt balance.
This explains how WiseCalculator treats the numbers you type. It is not a lender’s offer and it is not advice for your loan.
More in Debt
- An extra payment of zeroZero extra means each debt runs on the minimum you typed. That is a complete picture, not a missing field.
- The six-hundred-month cap on a debtPayoff counting stops at 600 months. A debt still unpaid then has no finish date inside this tool.
- A store card and a bank cardBoth are rows. The store card often has the higher rate and the smaller minimum, so it receives less of any shared extra.
