An extra payment of zero

This guide
Zero extra means each debt runs on the minimum you typed. That is a complete picture, not a missing field.
The default
Until you type an extra amount, the extra is zero. Payoff dates use the minimums alone. The comparison has nothing to save yet, and the screen says so.
Use zero when you want to see the plan you already have, before you decide what an extra dollar would do.
The month matches
The household debt total equals the sum of the minimums. There is no hidden extra.
A debt whose minimum does not cover interest still shows that warning at extra zero. The extra field is not required to reveal it.
Turning it on later
Type a monthly extra when you want the second scenario. The dates and the debt slice both update. Signed-in saves follow the edit.
Clear it back to zero to return to the minimums. The rows stay.
This explains how WiseCalculator treats the numbers you type. It is not a lender’s offer and it is not advice for your loan.
More in Debt
- The six-hundred-month cap on a debtPayoff counting stops at 600 months. A debt still unpaid then has no finish date inside this tool.
- A store card and a bank cardBoth are rows. The store card often has the higher rate and the smaller minimum, so it receives less of any shared extra.
- Saving debts on the accountDebt rows stay on the phone. After you sign in, they are kept with the mortgage, the car, and take-home.
