The car loan end date

This guide
The payoff month is the length of the schedule. The household month states when the car loan ends.
It is the term, unless the loan is zero
A positive loan builds one row per month until the balance is gone. For a standard term, that length is the term you typed. The date on the month screen is that many months from now.
A zero loan has no payoff date. Ownership costs can remain.
The date is not the end of the car
Fuel and insurance do not stop in that month. Only the loan payment does, and only if you remove it. The inputs stay until you change them, so the month will keep showing the payment after the real loan would have ended unless you clear the price or the term when you are done.
The date is a label on today’s inputs. It does not set a reminder.
Extra principal is not in the car date
The car schedule is the required payment. Paying extra would finish sooner, and this date would be late. There is no extra-payment field on the car form.
If you track the car loan inside debts, that row uses the minimum you type, plus a share of any extra payment. That payoff can differ from the car calculator’s term.
This explains how WiseCalculator treats the numbers you type. It is not a lender’s offer and it is not advice for your loan.

- A zero-interest car loanA note rate of zero makes every dollar of the payment principal. Check the APR anyway. The fee may not be zero.
- Typing the car insurance you already payUse the monthly premium you pay now, or a quote for the car you are buying. The field is a month.
- Why car insurance is not looked upThe calculator does not quote insurers. A typed premium keeps the month tied to a number you can point at.
